Eastertide - We Belong

During the Eastertide season, we will confess our faith using words from the Heidelberg Catechism: that we belong, body and soul, in life and in death, to our faithful Savior, Jesus Christ.

We will follow the story of Ruth and Naomi, who in the midst of loneliness and loss, find a sense of belonging among God’s people.

See you at SB Pride!

This year, we're happy to host a table for the first time at South Bend Pride. Wanting to do more than just issue a statement of our position, we want to learn to live into it. This is a first step to introducing ourselves to the local LGBTQIA+ community and getting to know people. We hope to see you there!

South Bend Pride is on June 21, 12-6pm, at Potawatami Park.

What to Expect When Worshiping with Us

We are a congregation of people from a variety of Christian traditions and backgrounds. Together, we grow in faith, while also expressing honest questions and doubt.

Our worship style combines historical and contemporary Christian liturgy and music. All the words and music are shown on screens, making it easy for everyone, new or old, to join in. Dress is casual, and we enjoy coffee, snacks, and conversation after the worship service.

Sexual Orientation and Gender Identities

A conversation about full inclusion in church membership and leadership based on sexual orientation and gender identity started after our denomination took a firm stance against same-sex marriage in 2022.

In May 2024, we completed a multi-year, congregation-wide discernment process and adopted a statement of our vision, position, and posture on this topic. You can read the statement here and the full process here.
